This paper is a summary of the article, Possible Selves by Hazel Markus and Paula Nurius. An examination of the concept of a possible self. By looking at this article, the writer shows that everybody has a possible self whether they realize it or not. Peoples experiences in the past or fears may motivate them to do or not to do something, according to Markus and Nurius. It is most important to acknowledge your possible self to fully understand who you are and who you could possibly become.
